Ryan Wilmot – Ranger
I grew up in the Eastern Cape Province from where I was exposed to various aspects of life in the bush from a very young age. Though I started my career as a professional Hunter, I soon realized the need for conservation and subsequently gained my degree in Nature Conservation at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in George, South Africa. I have gained a lot of experience in various private game reserves in the Eastern Cape and Limpopo Provinces since 2004. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and I take any chance I get to share my knowledge and help create a passion for our hugely diverse environment. I am a qualified FGASA level 2 field guide and trails guide and continue to strive towards the highest possible qualification. The more I learn, it seems the less I know and every day is a new experience. We can never stop learning from each other and from what nature has to offer. It is my pleasure to be able to share our beautiful Africa with you!

Palance Lekhuleng – Tracker
I am from Acornhoek, which is a village bordering the Kruger National Park. I have worked in different game reserves and have a fine tuned knowledge of the surrounding area and bush. As a youngster my father worked in the industry and I developed my interest and love for tracking through him during school holidays. He taught me well and I gained an enormous amount of knowledge from him for which I will always be grateful. I am currently a Level 3 tracker and my ambition is to become a fully qualified guide. I have a keen passion for tracking big game to satisfy my eager guests.

Wiehan Stapelberg - Ranger
I grew up in the small town of Naboomspruit in the Limpopo province where I got to spend a lot of time in the surrounding bushveld where my love for nature started. After matriculating I studied hotel management as I always had a passion for working with people but my love for the bush drove me towards field guiding. I completed my “bush school” studies in 2003 and started working as a Safari Guide in various game parks including Kruger National Park (RSA), Etosha National Park (Nam), The Okavango Delta (Bots), and many more.
I got married to my wife Michelle in 2010 and we decided to come and join the Shumbalala team in 2011 to settle a little bit closer to home.
I have a keen sense of adventure and I like to explore new places on or off the map. I currently have FGASA Level 2 and Trails Guide qualification and I am working to obtain my Level 3 as living in the bush teaches you something new daily.
I am very proud to be a South African and it is my privilege to share my extensive knowledge of our beautiful animals and bushveld to the wonderful guests that visit us from all over the world. |

Herman Ndlovu – Tracker
I was born and raised in the Greater Kruger National Park area and as many young boys my age, we spent endless hours in the bush. My father also worked in the safari industry and had a great deal of influence in my passion for the bush and encourage me to pursue it. I have attended the traditional bush school where we were required to live off our knowledge of the bush for weeks on end, during this time I have gained a keen interest and sense of tracking. I have now been involved in the tourism industry for many years and no scenario is ever the same and this keeps me alert and keen to keep learning. My favourite is tracking leopard and lion. My future ambition is to qualify as a guide in the tourism industry.
